Agreement provides LeadingAge PA members clear path to HU programs
LeadingAge PA members, employees, and spouses/partners have been given clear access to Harrisburg University of Science and Technology courses and programs at a reduced rate thanks to an agreement recently reached between the University and the trade/professional association for nonprofit senior living organizations.
Through the agreement, LeadingAge PA members (nonprofit aging service providers), employees, and spouses/partners will receive a significant reduction in tuition and training fees for Harrisburg University undergraduate, graduate, certificate, and training programs.
“We are pleased to partner with LeadingAge PA to provide this opportunity to the LeadingAge PA community,” said Harrisburg University President Dr. Eric Darr. “The agreement gives LeadingAge PA members, employees, and spouses/partners affordable access to our world-class, and workforce-driven science and technology programs. Our mission is centered around educating the workforce by providing affordable access to a quality STEM-education.”
Ranked the No. 1 STEM University in the U.S. during the past two years by Corporate LiveWire, Harrisburg University courses and programs are delivered in various formats. Whether in person, online, or via an accelerated format, physician members, eligible employees, and their spouses/partners can enroll in any Harrisburg University program – including professional development courses – at a reduced rate, courtesy of the agreement.
“Our partnership with Harrisburg University provides our members with a unique opportunity to expand their education and professional skill sets, and ultimately provide the best possible care for residents in senior care settings across Pennsylvania,” said LeadingAge PA president and CEO, Adam Marles. “The potential for a strong, positive impact on the senior living industry at large is tremendous and our Association is thrilled to be part of this workforce development effort.”
